City advises of planned electricity supply interruptions in Van Riebeeckstrand and Duinefontein area

The City advises residents in parts of Van Riebeeckstrand and Duinefontein of upcoming critical electricity supply interruptions for infrastructure repairs, which will be carried out on Tuesday, 25 November 2025, from 09:00 – 16:00, alternatively on Thursday, 27 November 2025 from 09:00 – 16:00. The City apologises for any inconvenience caused while the essential repairs are being carried out.

It is important to note that interruptions to supply will only impact the highlighted areas on the map and only on the relevant date.

Please note:
 
The electricity supply could be restored at any time and customers must please treat all electrical installations as live for the full duration of the planned maintenance work.

Residents are encouraged to switch off appliances as a precaution and to avoid damage caused by power surges when the power comes back on.

The City apologises for any inconvenience caused and thanks residents for their cooperation and understanding.
